The handset was targeted at the consumer market and featured things like improved call-quality and extended battery life. It was also the first phone with an advanced user interface, a feature that would soon become standard. The Motorola International 3200 was the world’s first digital mobile phone. However, it was never certified, so it could be officially linked to a mobile network.
